The Archbishop of Armagh, Primate of All Ireland — A devoted pastor who frequently lived amongst brush and bramble in order to minister to his persecuted flock. A life lived in conformity to Christ, which likewise ended in arrest, in trial and finally in execution on 1 July 1681. He was the last Catholic martyred at Tyburn.

His response upon hearing the verdict and sentence was Deo gratias, “Thanks be to God”.
